ELIGIBILITY: Entries are open to male members in good standing of member NHGA Clubs who are legal residents of New Hampshire. Applicants must not have reached their 18th birthday by June 25, 2012. An eligible non-resident can play in NHGA Championships if he has been a member in good standing of an NHGA member club for the last three complete golf seasons and has played a minimum of 25 rounds of golf at this club in each of the three seasons. A letter signed by the President of the member club must accompany his first entry, stating that the player complies with NHGA eligibility requirements. Entries are subject to approval or rejection at any time by the NHGA. Entrants must have an up-to-date NHGA/USGA GHIN Handicap Index. Entries close June 19th or when a field of 96 is reached.
SCHEDULE: Competition will be held at Campbell’s Scottish Highlands June 25, 26 and 27, 2012.
FORMAT: Tournament is 18 holes qualifying Monday morning. Sixty-four players will begin match play Monday afternoon. The Championship flight will contain 16 players (if necessary, a hole-by-hole play-off will be used to determine the final players in the championship flight), the other six flights will have 8 players each (the USGA card matching method will be used to determine players in flights 1 through 6). Matches will continue on Tuesday morning and Tuesday afternoon. Championship flight finals will be played over 18 holes on Wednesday morning. All matches will include hole-by-hole play-offs, if necessary, on a hole or holes to be determined by the Committee.
ENTRY PROCEDURES: Entrants shall apply online or by printing out an entry form and mailing it to the NHGA office with the entry fee. Entry fee of $25 shall be paid by every player; entry fee includes lunch on Monday for all players. Entry forms received after the first 96 players or after June 19th will be held by the NHGA office in the event of withdrawals. The late entry forms will be entered into the field on a first-come first-served basis. Replacements will be taken at the tournament site based on the order that the late entries were received. In order to maintain their waiting list position, replacement players must be at the site prior to the first starting time; otherwise they will go to the end of the list. Entries by telephone, telegraph, e-mail, or fax will not be accepted.
REFUND POLICY: Entry fee, less $10.00 service charge, will be refunded regardless of reason if the NHGA is notified by phone (603-569-3471) or email prior to close of entries. After the close of entries, fees will only be refunded if a replacement is available. In the event of injury or illness after the close of entries, refund will require written confirmation and will still be subject to a $10.00 service charge. No refunds will be made after the tournament date for any reason.
RULES OF COMPETITION: Play will be governed by the 2012-2015 Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA, by the NHGA Rules of Play (Hard Card – available at the starting tee), and by any Rules Addendums handed out at the respective site. Questions will be settled by the tournament director in charge of the competition as assigned by the NHGA and the tournament director’s decision shall be final.
